Walking around the Carp Fair Grounds, Connie is reminded of her childhood. She passes by friends she has known since she was young and family members who have watched her grow up right before their eyes. The crisp fall air, the sweet smell of the food and the tradition of the heavy horse ring bring together the best of the year for a local girl. This coveted weekend for those in the Ottawa Valley also provides an opportunity for Connie to reflect on where she comes from, and where she has been.
Connie grew up on CarpView Dairy Farm. After graduating from Earl of March High School, she headed to the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario for an HBA. After a first career in marketing with Shell and procurement at Newbridge/Alcatel, Connie got the real estate bug from watching her father develop a quality-driven custom home business, D&H Rivington Enterprises.
Growing up on the farm, Connie was taught from a young age the importance of work ethic. She has always kept those values in mind, and makes sure she passes them on to her three children, Ryan, Alison and John. She holds her family very close to her heart. When she and her husband, Steve, an Ottawa fire-fighter, are not busy driving their children around to all their different sports and activities, Connie enjoys running and gardening. Connie also enjoys summer vacations at Red Pine Camp where she meets up for many games of bridge with her aunts and cousins.
Connie is very passionate about her real estate career. She has been awarded the prestigious Internantional Centurion Award every year since 2006. She has also been a Century 21 John DeVries office Top Producer since 2006.
Connie’s family oriented approach to real estate allows her to connect with clients and help them find not only the perfect home but also the perfect place to raise a family. To her, it’s not only about picturing yourself in a home, it’s about picturing yourself walking around the neighbourhood , hosting a BBQ, getting acquainted with your neighbours and having a safe place for your children to run freely. She understands that everyone wants something different and she is willing and ready to help make their dreams a reality.
